the kazakhstan - turkmenistan - iran railway link, completed , operationalized in 2014, known north–south transnational corridor, 677 km (421 mi) long railway line connecting kazakhstan , turkmenistan iran , persian gulf. links uzen in kazakhstan bereket - etrek in turkmenistan , ends @ gorgan in iran s golestan province. in iran, railway linked national network making way ports of persian gulf.


the project estimated cost $620m being jointly funded governments of kazakhstan, turkmenistan , iran.


the project aims create multimodal transport system provide seamless connectivity in region passenger travel well. north-south transnational corridor run 137 km (85 mi) in kazakhstan, 470 km (292 mi) in turkmenistan , 70 km (43 mi) in iran.


work in turkmenistan commenced in bereket in december 2007 , in kazakhstan in july 2009.


a 311 km (193 mi) section between bereket , uzen in turkmenistan being financed asian development bank (adb). memorandum of understanding signed between adb , turkmenistan government in february 2010, $350m loan special fund technical assistance. project loan installation of signalling , communication equipment on ongoing railway line, procurement of equipment , maintenance facilities, consulting, , management , supervision of construction. project received loan of $371.2m islamic development bank in july 2010. in may 2013, bereket – uzen section has been completed.


in february 2014, 256 km (159 mi) long section between bereket , etrek has been constructed. currently, railway stations along new railway being constructed.


bereket city (kazandjik) strategically important railway crossroad of trans-caspian railway (caspian sea, turkmenistan, uzbekistan , eastern kazakhstan) , north-south transnational railway. city has large locomotive repair depot , modern passenger , freight railway station.


in december 2014 railway opened.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
