niigata

the western part of route 289 begins in yoshida passing east through towns of tsubame , sanjo. ends in mountains 10 km south east of shitada village.


fukushima

the eastern part of route 289 starts in iwaki, fukushima near nakoso station. heads west through shirakawa , passed shinshirakawa. ends 12 km north west of nishigō village.


central part

work join east , west sections began in 1999. scheme suffered major setback after chūetsu earthquake in 2004 when landslips covered large parts of route. in 2005/06 efforts made clear these blockages , restart building work.


the finished route, presently dirt track , passable 4x4s or construction traffic, include several spanned bridges, avalanche covers , 1.5 km tunnel.


a provisional completion date has been given 2012.

Sovereign Building Zollinger-Harned Company Building

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
