awami muslim league leader rajakar athar ali khan father of freedom fighter bagerhat attained gallantry award bir uttam bravery. athar ali khan did not face trial because of son.


a rajakar later joined bangladesh rifles (presently known border guards bangladesh) after liberation war remained untouched , promoted in higher post during sheikh mujibur rahman regime.


taslimuddin ahmed, signed notification 14 collaborators asking them surrender himself collaborator. surprising scenario staged in special tribunal rajakar recruiting officer became judge , gave verdict against 1 whom recruited rajakar. many such situations raised time.


those had close relation sheikh mujibur rahman never tried. mujib himself freed collaborators khan sabur, shah azizur rahman, wahiduzzaman, mawlana abu zafar mohammad saleh, former awami league leader akm shamsul haque , many others.


after liberation war, committee formed under nilima ibrahim find out collaborators worked in radio pakistan. 43 people found committee worked pakistan. unfortunately no action taken against them part of progressive society awami league , of them killed pakistanis.


lieutenant colonel firoz salahuddin, recruited many rajakar , loyal pakistan army till end of liberation war rehabilitated in bangladesh army after liberation war having close relation m. a. g. osmani.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
