labels , love

labels , love forum , workshop organized young out here in march 2009, of oogachaga. workshop involved personal sharing of experiences of mother , gay son. approximate number of 40 participants attended event.


outrace

outrace, jointly organized young out here, oogachaga , dirrtyremixes, held in august 2009 coincide annual indignation. in event, teams set compete against each other, racing various lgbt related locations in singapore, la amazing race. had overcome challenges , obstacles @ each pit-stop. these designed educating teams singapore s lgbt history in mind. first team arrive @ final pit-stop won prize.


ties bind

ties bind workshop organized young out here in march 2011, of oogachaga. theme of workshop coming out; lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or queer youth family members. objective create platform queer youths discuss , share ideas pertaining theme, rather advocation of coming out, participants each have different situations , comfort levels work with.

on pink dot 2011, young out here set booth @ hong lim park in project people invited pen down thoughts, identity, or statement beginning . may choose take photo of statement, may uploaded group s social media page in user s discretion.


light dream project

young out here invited 1 of 19 community groups set booth @ hong lim park pink dot 2012. marks second year young out here organized event on pink dot. project, event-goers invited write down hopes , dreams down, , use flexible fluorescent tube tie hopes , dreams on young out here s makeshift glowing tree.


climb every mountain

on 29 march 2013, young out here invited cason crane, youth mountaineer climbing 7 summits in effort raise funds trevor project, share story youths in singapore.


project not afraid

in june 2013, yoh upped ante building , painting 9.6m x 2.4m large wall mural. mural covered in ‘bricks’ symbolised fears of today’s lgbtq youths. removing these individual bricks, mural revealed showcase hopes , dreams penned down event-goers previous “light dreams” campaign in pink dot 2012. 1 may think of berlin wall of sorts lgbtq youth of singapore.


project connecting voices

for pinkdot 2014, yoh gave pinkdot participants chance post lgbt-related questions on specially designed ‘faq’ board , responses in return other participants @ event. being inspired japanese prayer structure, project year signifies collective hope , support each other. lucky draw provided 2 free tickets laramie project play @ singapore repertory theatre.


yoh 10th anniversary exhibition

pinkdot 2015 held on 13 june 2015 @ hong lim park. marks 5th year of pinkdot celebrations in singapore. coincidentally 10 year anniversary of yoh since our humble beginnings simple idea. commemorate anniversary , @ same time, educate others yoh does, exhibition of yoh history put up. suggestions canvassed public on how yoh can improve going forward. this, goodie bags of neon-pink sticky candy given away in exchange ideas.

Sovereign Building Zollinger-Harned Company Building

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
