caps projects ict-enabled initiatives address pressing social issues , sustainability issues promoting citizen engagement on network scale.


caps2020

the caps2020 project initiated coordinate, support , promote caps projects , movement in europe. caps2020 ran alongside twelve projects partially funded fp7 ict work programme 2013 under organisation of marta arniani sigma orionis. ran until august 2015. during time, events caps2014 , caps2015 held in brussels in july 2014 , july 2015, information caps in horizon 2020 provided stakeholders , diverse players outside existing community.

this project fosters cbpp (commons-based peer production) phenomenon providing techno-social software platform designed facilitate creation of resilient , sustainable cbpp communities.


the project focuses on 3 key areas of improvement on current platforms:



enhancing community sustainability adopting governance, legal, economic, , technical infrastructures favour value creation , resilience;
supporting contributors systems of reward allow value flow creators;
integrating functionalities of online social networking services , collaborative software in privacy-aware platform based on decentralised architecture.

d-cent

d-cent creates digital tools direct democracy , economic empowerment. helps communities share data, collaborate , organize operations creating social networking platform large-scale collaboration.


the abbreviation d-cent refers decentralised citizens engagement technologies. besides platform, project explores how communities might manage common goods , facilitate online exchange bitcoin-style digital social currencies. project started in 2013 , finalised in 2016.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
