the carnival of tarazona special because has essential features distinguish carnival celebrations in other towns:



a lot of people, of ages, participate in carnival of tarazona; virtually takes part in way or another.
the carnival participants walk around streets , arrive @ plaza mayor (the main square).
some people take part in theatre performance, showing costumes visitors, tourists can have time , feel welcome.
the traditional disguise (mascaruta) consists of wearing shoebox on ones head, bed sheet draped on , cloth mask covering person s face. on people’s nerves mosquero, fly swatter made stick coloured cardboard stuck on 1 end. carry plastic bottle of water mixed cologne, talcum powder or brush, , when looks @ them, say: “you’re dumb. don’t know am.”
the parade traditionally celebrated on shrove monday, called día de los espantajos (the day of frights).

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
