the ameson foundation works further education , cultural exchange through following programs including:


ameson chinese elite (ace)

ace first china-wide program dedicated providing formative cross-cultural experience top performing student representatives 5 permanent member states of un security council, including china, united kingdom, france, russia, , united states. program discontinued , no longer regularly administered.


ameson year in china (ayc)

ayc program recruits passport holding college graduates become educational ambassadors spending year teaching @ public schools in coastal china. ameson acts third party recruit these graduates english teacher positions in chinese schools. participants not employed ameson , sign contract chinese school.


professional pathways program (ppp)

ppp provides opportunities chinese students @ universities in united states connect mentors, attend presentations successful professionals, , navigate job market begin careers in united states or abroad.


sino-american youth ambassadors (saya)

saya designed bring greater international awareness , cultural diversity high school campuses, students serving cultural ambassadors in both countries.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
