a carnival procession


there have been processions, traditionally pass through parts of town , end in central square.


in past, these street processions not organized, , musicians, bands, , other people wearing costumes or masks participate freely in them. paraded every afternoon, on every day of carnival celebrations, encouraging townspeople dress , join party.

since 1981, due boom carnival of tarazona has been experiencing year after year, sunday parades have fixed route, alto de la virgen plaza mayor. still not organized, , troupes decide meet @ point , march towards town square. people visiting carnival can enjoy performances along predetermined route. there processions on shrove tuesday.


the organized processions began in 1983; nowadays take place on 2 sundays of carnival celebrations.


since 1988, children’s procession has taken place on shrove monday; promoted , organized eduardo sanchiz school , goes school plaza mayor.


several groups of women joined troupes take part in carnival processions. due promotion , participation of these women, women s carnival day has been celebrated on shrove tuesday since 2002.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
