porky starred in dozens of films in late 1930s. directors still did not have grasp on character, however; appearance, age, , personality varied picture picture. several such cartoons show porky child parents: father phineas (porky rainmaker, milk , money, porky s poppa, , porky , teabiscuit) , unnamed mom (wholly smoke , porky s hero agency). bob clampett pinned porky down in 1939, making him permanent young adult: cuter, slimmer, smarter, , less of stutterer. also, cartoons show porky antagonist (porky s duck hunt, porky s hare hunt, corny concerto, duck soup nuts, daffy doodles, daffy duck hunt, thumb fun , cracked quack). eventually, settled kind persona. clampett s porky innocent traveler, taking in wonders of world—and in clampett s universe, world weird place indeed. principle perhaps best demonstrated in porky in wackyland, film sends porky on quest find last of surreal dodos, yoyo dodo. cartoon selected preservation national film registry in 2000.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
