a shock detector can mounted on package (inside or outside) or directly on product being shipped. mounting on package done detect excessive handling such high drop heights while mounting on product done more closely indicate product damage.


some shipments need more 1 shock detector better monitor directions of impacts. large or long items have shock detectors @ both ends of shipping container.


the shock detector indicates whether goods in transit have been subjected potentially damaging conditions. based on data, options may be:



if there have not been unusual shock, continue use shipment is, without special inspection
if potentially damaging hazards have occurred, thoroughly inspect shipment damage or conduct calibration prior use
the consignee may choose negotiate carrier, shipper, or supplier or reject shipment sensors indicate severe handling

shock , impact not hazards can cause damage, vibration, puncture, compression, etc. can cause damage yet not trigger shock detector.
