harvey korman

conway first met harvey korman in 1966 while guest, first of three, on danny kaye show. korman 4 year series regular on kaye s cbs variety hour. 1967 saw end of kaye show , debut of carol burnett show. korman available, stepped regular role there. conway appeared guest during first burnett season , 2 men became friends starting lifetime of working until korman s death in 2008. 1 of famous sketches carol burnett show called dentist sketch. in sketch, korman goes just-graduated dentist conway toothache. conway proceeds remove korman s tooth, before can inject novocaine korman, injects himself, causing head, hand, , leg go numb.


korman , conway performed 10 years on carol burnett show before korman left pursue own show. korman joined conway on conway s shows , later on in 1986 film longshot, conway wrote 2 men. conway wrote direct-to-video films tim , harvey in great outdoors , again tim , harvey, comedy pair starred in together. dvd again tim , harvey recording of touring stage show ran on 10 years sold out markets until korman s death in 2008. conway has referred korman as, smartest man knew couldn t tie shoelaces .

when conway starting career in hollywood, don knotts. both men regulars on steve allen show, though @ different times. didn t have chance work until disney studios paired 2 men on apple dumpling gang series of films, , comedy clicked; knotts s boisterous, barney fife-style bungling both contrasted , meshed conway s quieter form of physical comedy. first film starred bill bixby , susan clark in 1975 , called apple dumpling gang. film centered around bixby being tricked taking care of trio of orphans pair of lovable holdup men named amos tucker (conway) , theodore ogelvie (knotts) attempt steal gold nugget children find. film commercial success, , sequel made starring pair in 1979 called apple dumpling gang rides again. sequel did not have other cast members hugely profitable disney.


conway wrote 2 other films pair star in starting prize fighter in 1979 , private eyes in 1980. both independently produced , highest grossing independent films of years. had cameo in cannonball run ii film , in later years voiced characters hermie , wormie in numerous children s shows max lucado.


pasquale murena

in 2007, conway met filmmaker pasquale murena when murena brought in direct additional scenes , edit direct-to-dvd film legend of paddle, starring conway. 2 men subsequently worked on numerous productions, including murena producing dvd releases of again tim , harvey, re-releases of tim , harvey in great outdoors, dorf on golf, , dorf goes fishing. murena directed, produced , co-wrote conway 6 dorf comedy sketches dvd release of ultimate dorf dvd collection, has sold on 3 million copies.


starting in 2009, 2 men collaborated on first sketches website ispotsanta, dorf helps santa deliver presents, , works @ north pole santa s #1 elf. have done on 25 comedy sketches , 3 short films website, while garnering on 35 million viewers. conway quoted in interview on disney channel, stating that, pasquale has done more dorf ever imagined. love making these films kids. continuing success, murena cast conway professor vanvanguard in award-winning first feature film in 2014 called, chip & bernie s zomance, conway adding unique humor zombie film.


ernie anderson

conway first pitched idea of ernie anderson , him doing late night show in cleveland during 1960s , rose marie found conway , got him role on steve allen show. before that, duo recorded 2 comedy albums together: on? (1966) , bull (1967). anderson turned doing voiceovers after conway moved on, collaborations continued conway s string of shows , anderson s career voice of abc . anderson performed on sketches , voiceover talent carol burnett show. teaming pair together.


anderson become cult icon in cleveland character ghoulardi during own late night television show, showed horror b movies viewers. in 2013, conway went ghoulardi fest promote book , show love friend anderson.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
