in 1943, suzanne joined resistance network dutch-paris founded dutch diplomat herman laatsman , directed johan hendrik weidner in direct coordination allied forces.. in fact réseau particularly active in saving allied pilots shot down in nazi controlled west europe, , helping them return bases. network active in helping jewish population escape nazi persecution.


through connections touty had in german embassy, in particular karl-heinz gerstner, network dutch-paris received services, confidential information , forged papers.

touty returns france aboard special aircraft of air force. few months later married brother of simone souloumiac. pierre souloumiac, captain of merchant marine, actively participated in defence of england throughout second world war.


in 1951, pierre souloumiac ceases navigate , enters ministry of merchant marine works on drafting of code on transport of dangerous goods. couple settles in old farmhouse in hamlet of balizy, 23 kilometres south of paris.
