2007–2010: tides of man

in 2007, pearson formed progressive rock band tides of man consisting of lead guitarist spencer gill, rhythm guitarist adam sene, bass guitarist alan jaye, , percussionist josh gould, @ time. band recorded debut full-length studio album titled empire theory throughout september 2008 producer matt malpass , released through rise records on august 4, 2009. released sophomore studio album, dreamhouse, in 2010. after touring 2 years, announced departure band on december 20, 2010 through message on myspace. since pearson s departure, tides of man has become instrumental , progressive rock band consisting of little-to-no vocal use in recent material.


2011–2012: writing other bands

following departure tides of man, began working post-hardcore bands emarosa , archives (currently known night verses), , in-studio member alternative rock band saosin. demos emarosa tracks supercrow , mamba leaked onto internet throughout 2012. demo version of exfoliator , song performed saosin, leaked onto web in 2013.


2013–present: dance gavin dance

following departure of jonny craig band dance gavin dance on august 21, 2012, rumored pearson serving temporary touring member pursue clean vocal duties band. despite fact pearson in midst of recording full-length follow-up album debut album material me (2013), subsequently became permanent member , recorded vocals band s fifth studio album, acceptance speech. album released on october 8, 2013 through rise records. album received mixed , positive reviews critics, praise being directed towards aspects of album. however, pearson s vocals received lukewarm reviews, along unique mix of genres. deadpress concluded review saying have here refreshing dgd ve managed maintain identity regardless, , maybe ll have consistent line-up foreseeable future , gave album rating of 8/10. album spawned single strawberry swisher pt. 3 , released on october 10, 2013, accompanied music video premiered on october 31, 2013.


after release of acceptance speech, pearson toured band extensively in support of album. band embarked on acceptance speech tour on april 16 in seattle, washington , concluded on may 17, 2014 in denver, colorado. on september 14, 2014, announced band headline annual rise records tour beginning on november 16 in seattle. tour concluded in santa cruz, california on december 7, 2014 supporting acts secrets, alive me, , defeat low.


on february 9, 2015, announced dance gavin dance releasing sixth studio album, instant gratification on april 14, 2015 through rise records, being second album featuring pearson on vocals. on run released lead single on february 12, 2015 , second single, own night , released on march 13, 2015. in support of album, band embarked on instant gratification tour , served supporting acts on take action! tour metalcore band memphis may fire, palisades, , crown empire.


tilian toured dance gavin dance throughout november , december 2015 on 10 year anniversary tour supporting acts slaves, lot birds, dayshell, , strawberry girls. throughout tour, tilian switched out lead vocalist band s former vocalists jonny craig , kurt travis. group, craig , travis, embarked on second leg of 10 year anniversary tour in europe in november 2016.


dance gavin dance announced string of international tour dates 2016, including u.s. fall tour september 22 october 27 , european tour november 3 november 16. released live studio album, tree city sessions, on may 13, 2016 through rise records. dance gavin dance released seventh studio album, mothership, on october 7, 2016. lead single, chucky vs. giant tortoise , released on august 18, 2016 digital download , streaming. in 2017, group embarked on co-headlining north american tour progressive rock band chon in february , march 2017.


dance gavin dance released studio cover of bruno mars single s on june 1, 2017, in support of punk goes pop vol. 7. band released stand-alone single, summertime gladness , on june 15. toured on journey s right foot stage may august 2017 on vans warped tour. first warped tour in pearson toured member in dance gavin dance.


2013–present: solo career

tilian pearson released debut full-length studio album, material me, on march 18, 2013, through vital records. later released solo extended play, future friends, on december 16, 2014 through vital records. on june 29, 2015, pearson announced entering studio , recording new material producer kris crummett on september 1. tilian began recording vocals album on september 9. 2 weeks later, pearson finished recording album. released single tug of war along music video on october 16, 2015.


on october 29, 2015, announced sophomore studio album perfect enemy, released on november 27, 2015 through vital records. in support of album, announced headlining solo tour supporting act myke terry (formerly of metalcore band bury dead). tour took place january 28 february 5, 2016.


he featured on post-hardcore band slaves song winter everywhere , album routine breathing.


tilian pearson released collaborative single, life , recording artist jonny craig, on april 18, 2016. solo artist, pearson toured co-headliner on u.s. tour jonny craig , kurt travis spanning april 15 may 22, 2016.


pearson had revealed writing new material producer matt malpass, has produced 2 of pearson s releases, in december 2016.


on june 22, 2017, tilian premiered new song, entitled lines burn , serves lead single upcoming third solo studio album. new single, wake , released on july 14. tilian featured on stélouse single bones , released on july 28, 2017. released solo single, entitled patient , , announced patient ep on august 4, 2017. tilian continued releasing songs patient ep singles.


tilian confirmed on twitter recording third studio album beginning september 10 , recording fourth studio album dance gavin dance beginning october 14.
