in may, 2015, geiger s announced return roots, , open new store in downtown cleveland, next opened heinen s upscale supermarket. geiger s return first downtown unit since original geiger s chain closed in 1929. store, opened in november 2015, in renovated commercial/residential building @ 1020 euclid ave. near corner of 9th , euclid. truman building, renamed ivory current owners. constructed in 1911, truman building designed renowned architect willard hirsch. 1 of 8 hirsch structures still stand in cleveland. @ time of construction, building built concrete of building in country. building once housed oppenheimer & collins co. women s clothing manufacturer.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
