heavy rainfall impeded first run, resulting in 2 runs being held on second day: 1 in morning hours , other during afternoon; first time had happened in same arena in venezuela. in caracas there had been 2 runs on same day, in 2 different arenas, circo metropolitano , nuevo circo .


in december 1968, fair wasn t celebrated, though bullfighting did occur on 13 april 1968 on occasion of holy saturday. stupendous closing fought dosgutiérrez , alfredo leal, curro girón , pepe cáceres. decided celebrate these fairs coincided carnivals known feria del sol; in 1969 first bullfighting carnival took place 3 run of bulls, on 15–17 february. first poster consisted of bulls of valparaíso alfredo leal, daniel matatoba santiago, manuel benítez el cordobés , venezuelan lucio requena. first ear of fair alfredo leal.

Sovereign Building Zollinger-Harned Company Building

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
