during loss against oakland raiders on november 20, 2014, berry began complain of chest pain. mass discovered in chest, him being diagnosed hodgkin s lymphoma on december 8, 2014. berry placed on chiefs non-football illness list, ending season. berry s doctor, dr. christopher flowers, lymphoma specialist @ emory university hospital in atlanta, said of berry s diagnosis, diagnosis treatable , potentially curable standard chemotherapy approaches. goal of mr. berry s treatment cure lymphoma , beginning treatment now.


2015 season

2017 season

on february 28, 2017, berry signed six-year, $78 million deal chiefs including $40 million in guaranteed, making him highest-paid safety in nfl. during thursday night football against patriots in week 1, berry carted off field apparent achilles injury. following day, chiefs announced had ruptured achilles , miss rest of season. placed on injured reserve on september 9, officially ending season.. berry underwent surgery on september 12.
