the park local nature reserve. part of mersey flood plain, , of land still damp. land has formed wet meadows, becoming increasingly rare in stockport land drained development. abney hall 1 of few places in stockport feature such wetlands. there small cafe called abney garden teas in abney centre in centre of park.
