early life

hans jorgen fjellestad born on may 02, 1968. studied music composition , improvisation @ university of california, san diego in san diego, california.


career

a classically trained pianist, has composed film, video, theater, dance , has toured music , film work throughout u.s., canada, europe, australia, japan, taiwan, new zealand, mexico, , brazil.


in 2002, directed first documentary film, frontier life. explores tijuana, mexico, focus on local underground electronic music scene. 2 years later, in 2004, directed moog, feature-length documentary music synthesizer pioneer robert moog, premiered @ karlovy vary international film festival. in 2009, writer , producer 2009 music documentary heart drum machine juliette lewis, elijah wood, john frusciante, , jason schwartzman. in 2010, released film depression-era life , art, when world breaks, premiered @ 2010 doc edge festival in new zealand.


in 2012, directed documentary sunset strip, premiered @ sxsw 2012 , broadcast on showtime. hollywood reporter describes entertaining fault, color-packed doc boasts lifetime s worth of glamour , sleaze featuring mickey rourke, johnny depp, ozzy osbourne, keanu reeves, sofia coppola, hugh hefner, sharon stone, courtney love, among others.


he co-founded trummerflora collective, , has worked curator/producer international art initiative, insite 05. artist-in-residence @ steve allen theater in hollywood 2008-2011, curating , hosting monthly live music series resbox.


he directing new documentary offshore radio outfit radio caroline, shooting in london , planned 2014 release.

he has extensive discography both solo artist , in collaboration many musicians in international experimental music scene including muhal richard abrams, george lewis, peter kowald, lé quan ninh, lisle ellis, haco, miya masaoka, money mark, yoshimi p-we, thomas dimuzio, g.e. stinson, damon holzborn (with whom forms duo donkey), tetsu saitoh, david slusser, baiyon, kazuhisa uchihashi, jakob riis, p.o. jørgens, carl bergstrøm-nielsen, mike keneally, nortec collective, among many others. music available on hollywood records, accretions records, circumvention music, brain escape sandwich, barely auditable records, pan handler , vinyl communications.

kobe live house (accretions records) released in february 2006 , prime example of how keyboardist approaches unconventional mix of acoustic , electronic sounds. recorded live on october 17, 2003, @ big apple (a jazz club in chūō-ku, kobe, japan) concert part of club s 14th anniversary special concert series. both sets unedited , appear did night of show in kobe, performed grand piano, nord lead 3 synthesizer , custom software instrument programmed in maxmsp. more recently, music projects in studio , on stage produced entirely on analog electronic instruments (mainly moog) 2007 release.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
