career
early career

as youth czibor played komárom ac , komárom mÁv , working train engine driver before noticed sándor mezei, coach of hungary youth team. subsequently played ferencváros tc won first hungarian league title in 1949. after spell csepel sc conscripted army team, honvéd. during playing career in hungarian club football, czibor scored 100 goals in 175 matches.


the mighty magyars

czibor made debut senior hungary team in 1949. went on play 43 times hungary , scored 17 goals. ferenc puskás, sándor kocsis, józsef bozsik , nándor hidegkuti, formed nucleus of golden team went unbeaten 32 consecutive games. during run became olympic champions in 1952, beating yugoslavia in helsinki final czibor scoring in 2-0 win. beat england twice, winning 6–3 @ wembley stadium , in 7–1 in 1954. in 1953 won central european international cup. run came end in 1954 world cup final when lost 3–2 germany.


honvéd

in 1953 czibor joined honvéd team mates included fellow internationals puskás, kocsis, , bozsik. during time @ club won further 2 hungarian league titles in 1954 , 1955. finished 1955 top goalscorer in league after scoring 20 goals. in 1956 honvéd fc entered european cup , in first round drawn against athletic bilbao. honvéd fc lost away leg 2–3, before home leg played, hungarian revolution had erupted in budapest. players decided against going hungary , arranged return athletic played @ heysel stadium in brussels. in game honvéd fc goalkeeper injured and, no substitutes permitted, czibor had go goal. despite drawing 3–3 went out on 6–5 on aggregate.


elimination left honvéd in limbo. players summoned families budapest and, despite opposition fifa , hungarian football authorities, organised fundraising tour of italy, portugal, spain , brazil. after returning europe, players parted ways. some, including bozsik, returned hungary while others, including czibor, kocsis , puskás, found new clubs in western europe.


fc barcelona

czibor went italy , played couple of unofficial games roma before hungarian refugee, ladislao kubala, persuaded him , sándor kocsis join him @ fc barcelona. subsequently scored on la liga debut in 6–0 win on valencia cf , part of team included ramallets, evaristo , luis suárez, czibor won copa del generalísimo/la liga double in 1959 , la liga/fairs cup double in 1960. although did not play in copa final, scored twice in fairs cup final cf barcelona beat birmingham city 4–2. cf barcelona , czibor reached final of european cup in 1961, barcelona lost 3–2 portuguese club s.l. benfica.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
