barker started career in comedy after graduating high school in 1989. first gigs @ old café called caffe nuvo in downtown san anselmo hosted stand-up night every sunday throughout 1990s. barker appeared on premium blend in 1997, followed appearances on shows late night conan o brien , glass house. twice hosted comedy central presents, first on 20 september 2000 , again on 31 march 2006. barker featured in comedy central s animated series shorties watchin shorties. appeared on australian show thank god re here on 18 october 2006, 19 september 2007 , 17 june 2009.


barker co-wrote , performed in marijuana-logues, off-broadway show in new york city, doug benson , tony camin. title of show parody of vagina monologues. nbc gave barker lead role sitcom nirvana, scheduled 2004. however, barker replaced in lead role show s creator, ajay sahgal, , show never aired.


barker appeared in hbo sitcom flight of conchords, playing bret , jemaine s indifferent friend dave. barker has enjoyed success in australia number of years since first appearing @ melbourne international comedy festival in 2000, , presently resides there.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
