operations

tata power has operations in india, singapore, indonesia, south africa , bhutan. tata power group has operations based in 35 locations in india.

the thermal power stations of company located @ trombay in mumbai, mundra in gujarat, jojobera , maithon in jharkhand, kalinganagar in odisha, haldia in west bengal , belgaum in karnataka. hydro stations located in western ghats of maharashtra , wind farms in ahmednagar, supa, khanke, brahmanwel, gadag, samana , visapur. company installed india’s first 500 mw unit @ trombay, first 150 mw pumped storage unit @ bhira, , flue gas desulphurization plant pollution control @ trombay. has generation capacities in states of jharkhand , karnataka, , distribution company in delhi, servicing on 1 million consumers spread on 510 square km in north delhi. peak load in area 1,150 mw. tata power announced on 24 july 2012, commissioning of second unit of 525 mw capacity of maithon mega thermal project in dhanbad. first unit of identical capacity commissioned in september 2011.

trombay thermal power station. 1,580 mw thermal power plant @ trombay, near mumbai, maharashtra. plant functional.
maithon power plant. 1,050 mw (2×525 mw) coal-based thermal power plant @ maithon, dhanbad district, jharkhand. plant functional. power plant owned maithon power limited 74:26 joint venture between tata power , damodar valley corporation.
jojobera power plant. 427.5 mw (67.5 mw , 3×120 mw) coal-based thermal power plant @ jojobera, near jamshedpur, east singhbhum district, jharkhand. plant functional.

international operations

the company has executed overseas projects in middle east, africa , south east asia including jebel ali g station (4×100 mw + desalination plant) in dubai, al-khobar ii (5×150 mw + desalination plant) , jeddah iii (4×64 mw + desalination plant) in saudi arabia, shuwaikh (5×50 mw) in kuwait, ehv substations in uae , algeria, , power plant operation , maintenance contracts in iran , saudi arabia.


strategic engineering division

the firm s strategic engineering division (sed) has engaged in defence systems , engineering on 4 decades. works mod , laboratories provide products , solutions defence requirements of country.


it has cleared joint receipt inspection (jri) first 2 lots of pinaka launchers , command posts; third , fourth lots have undergone factory acceptance tests.


tata power s strategic electronics division won tightly contested rs. 1,000-crore contract modernising 30 indian air force airbases.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
