clausen, graduated high school 1 semester early, enrolled @ notre dame on january 16, 2007. in notre dame s preseason practice open media, clausen threw number of short passes, casting doubt on strength of arm after off-season elbow surgery.


following notre dame s opening loss georgia tech in 2007 season, clausen named starting quarterback, win 1 of first 6 starts (against ucla) , replaced backup quarterback evan sharpley during notre dame s loss boston college on october 13, 2007. citing non-specific injuries clausen (who had been sacked 23 times), head coach charlie weis named sharpley starting quarterback notre dame s game against usc on october 20, 2007. after sitting out notre dame s losses usc , navy, clausen again named starter game against air force.


clausen finished freshman year having completed 56.3% of passes 1,254 yards, 7 touchdowns (plus 2 rushing tds) , 6 interceptions , passing efficiency of 103.85, , sacked team-record 34 times.


during sophomore season, completed 60.9% of passes 3172 yards, 25 touchdowns , 17 interceptions , 132.5 efficiency rating placed him 44th ranked quarterback in ncaa division fbs. led fighting irish 7–6 record, culminating in 49–21 victory against hawaii in hawaii bowl — ended notre dame s ncaa-record nine-game bowl losing streak. clausen set notre dame bowl records 406 yards passing , 5 touchdowns , named bowl s co-mvp.


in junior season, clausen named midseason all-american sporting news. finished season 3,722 yards passing, 68.8% completion rate, 161.42 passer rating, 28 touchdowns, , 4 interceptions.


on monday, december 7, 2009, clausen declared forgo senior season @ notre dame , enter nfl draft following news of firing of head coach charlie weis.


clausen returned notre dame during 2011 off-season finish degree in sociology.

the sovereign building in 2011 the whitehall mall store sold leh s department store, several years flagship store on hamilton street in allentown remained vacant. added national register of historic places in 1979. in december 1982 allentown store purchased sovereign realty , development. building renovated , reopened sovereign building in may 1984. renovations included glass-arched entrance pedestrian plaza between hamilton , court streets leading grapefruit-domed lobby decor of antique brass, mirrors, greenery , wing-backed chairs. main floor , basement developed retail spaces, while upper floors turned 42 private office suites. sovereign later went financial difficulties , building sold @ sheriffs sale on 22 september 1989. today building operated office building owner resides in philadelphia.
