mos 8500

in 1985, mos produced 8500, hmos version of 6510. other process change, virtually identical nmos version of 6510. 8500 designed use in modernised c64, c64c. however, in 1985, limited quantities of 8500s found on older nmos-based c64s. made official debut in 1987, appearing in motherboard using new 85xx hmos chipset.


mos 7501/8501

the 7501/8501 variant of 6510 introduced in 1984. used in commodore s c16, c116 , plus/4 home computers, i/o port controlled not datasette cbm bus interface. main difference between 7501 , 8501 cpus manufactured different technologies: 7501 manufactured hmos-1 , 8501 hmos-2. nmi signal not available mos 7501 , mos 8501.


mos 8502

the 2 mhz-capable 8502 variant used in commodore 128. these cpus opcode compatible (including undocumented opcodes).


mos 6510t

the commodore 1551 disk drive used 6510t, version of 6510 8 i/o lines. nmi , rdy signals not available.
